This is the part of the political horror show I’ve been waiting for, where the parasitic, larval stage of Sarah Palin detaches herself from her host. McCain will lick the wounds from his lurid campaign and try to rebuild parts of his bankrupt reputation. Then about three days before Election Day the incubating beast will burst out of McCain’s chest and scurry off into the oozing bowels of the Republican Party. There in the dark -- blindly feeding on pure ambition -- Sarah Palin will grow, emerging in about two years as a ravenous Neocon Demagogue, liberally devouring liberals and moderates alike.
