You don’t get “as far as the eye can see” in Switzerland. You get “to that mountain range”, or “all the way to the bottom”, but you never hear “as far as the eye can see”.
This makes it 7 years in a row for Zurich at the top of the Worldwide Quality of Living Survey by Mercer Human Resources Consulting. Tied for second place are Geneva (surprised me) and Vienna (no surprise). The survey looks at 39 different criteria including the quality of health, education and transport services, as well as political, social, economic and environmental factors.
Seven of the top 10 are in Europe, three in Switzerland. Also interesting that three are in Germany, makes you wonder why all those Germans are moving here?
