I’ve always liked that phrase: “second annual”, it sounds so optimistic. Anyway, Expovina Primavera (Wine Exhibition of Zurich) is not as picturesque as the autumn version on the wine boats, but looks to be very modern and geared toward dealing with people not necessarily wanting to buy a platoons worth of wine.
Running April 3 through April 10, 2008 in Hall 9 of the Messezentrum Zürich (exhibition center), you will be able to sample, and of course buy, more than 2,500 Swiss and foreign wines and liquors.
Entrance fee is CHF 15.- which includes a catalog, and the hours are:
| Mo - Fr: | 16.00 - 22.00 |
| Sa: | 12.00 - 22.00 |
| So: | 12.00 - 18.00 |
| April 10th: | 16.00 - 21.00 |
There will be food, drink and a lounge with entertainment: Luciano Puicher and Walter Nadaia, plus a raffle, so you might walk away a nice assortment of wine, and as I recall they deliver.
